In my youth I summered here in Columbia County at my Grandparents farm. Granny Georgia taught me to love and respect the process of growing fresh produce and recognizing its benefits. Color, texture and taste were the “catch words” she used in growing, picking and preparing her meals.

Granny Georgia piqued my interest and it grew, and while I was attending high school in Paris, France I studied French cooking. Upon returning to New York I continued my education and enhanced my love of cooking by attending the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY graduating in 1979.

I apprenticed in Los Angeles, California for 2 years and then moved back east to Greenwich, Connecticut to study French pastry. The next 17 years were dedicated to refining tastes while catering in both Greenwich and NYC.

In 1999, my dream came full circle and I settled in Columbia County and dedicated my dream to the woman who started it all – Granny Georgia Ray. Georgia Ray’s – Catering Fine Foods has been a successful enterprise from the onset as I appreciate the “art of eating”. Catering is my way of sharing what I love to do - bringing health, happiness and richness into peoples lives.

I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your most special event and how I can best serve you.

Bon Appetit!
